Serena started her career in the field about 7 years ago as a kennel assistant in emergency and specialty care. She has since worked her way up to the position of Veterinary Technician where she has worked at both general practice and shelter locations. She is currently studying to obtain her degree in Veterinary Technology to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, close friends, and family. Whether it's swimming in a river for the day or camping all weekend next to it! Over the years she has given many animals a place to call home; from cats and dogs to leopard geckos and a chinchilla. She would one day like to own a dog face puffer fish. Her dream is to one day be able to help with rehabilitation wild animals.
